MP offers support for charity Scope's campaign

WEST Worcestershire MP Harriett Baldwin had offered her support to a campaign to improve local services for disabled children and their families.

The MP joined Bridget Jones film star Sally Phillips at a campaign event led by mental health charity Scope.

The charity is asking the Government to offer better support to families through a Bill currently being debated in Parliament.

Mrs Baldwin said: “Families with disabled children can face incredibly difficult challenges and it is important that the Government looks at what it can do to help out.

“Families with disabled children are struggling with things we take for granted such as childcare or nursery places, appropriate schools or even healthcare in their local area.

“I am happy to offer my support to Scope and help to raise awareness of this issue both locally and nationally.”
