ALMOST 200 pupils from all over Worcestershire had an explosive time during a special Chemistry at Work event held at Malvern’s Three Counties Showground.
The year seven and eight children got to inflate disposable gloves, make their own ice cream and even blow up jelly babies.
Chemistry at Work days are a national initiative to promote the importance of the subject in everyday life.
Sue Hodgson-Jones, education officer at the Three Counties Agricultural Society, said: “The society is fast gaining a reputation for hosting inspirational teacher training and lesson-planning events, and we are proud to add Chemistry at Work to our portfolio.”
