Dysons is venue for sports sessions

DYSON Perrins Academy is the venue for two days of multi-sports activities today (Thursday, January 3) and tomorrow.

The sessions, for children aged five-14, provide a huge range of activities such as; hockey, basketball, football, rounders, badminton, tennis, arts and crafts, high jump, cricket, touch rugby, bench ball, capture the flag and team games.

They are organised by Zig Zag Coaching, which employs qualified coaches with a range of specialist coaching qualifications in football, gymnastics, rugby and multi sports. The coaches aim to help youngsters improve their basic skills and enhance their development.

Ted Grizzell of Zig Zag said: “The sessions are centred on fundamental movement skills, running, jumping, hopping etc. This means the children develop not only in the specified sport, but also prepare them for sport as a whole.”

Zig Zag Coaching was established in March 2008. It runs holiday courses of varying lengths as well as other sports events such as tournaments, fun days, coaching sessions and coach development events.
