Worcestershire County Council is continuing to advise motorists out and about to take care on the roads.
Following significant rainfall and showers over Christmas there is still substantial surface water on roads, considerable localised flooding and some road closures are still in place.
As road temperatures are expected to drop to some degree over the next couple of days, the county council's gritting teams are on standby to grit roads if necessary.
Given that the ground is already saturated in many areas, residents and businesses should be aware of the risk of surface water and flooding with further unsettled weather expected.
