A MAN has appeared in court charged with stealing from a vulnerable man in Malvern.
Andrew Heap, from Nottingham, is alleged to have called at the home of a visually impaired man with serious learning difficulties in Burrows Close to sell Christmas cards and cloths on Tuesday, October 30.
The victim later discovered a bank card and £80 in cash had been taken.
Heap, aged 31, was arrested in Swansea in Saturday on suspicion of committing similar offences and was questioned by officers from West Mercia Police about the offence on Sunday.
He was charged that night with burglary and fraud by false representation in relation to the Malvern offence, as well as other charges relation to offences in the South Wales area.
Heap appeared at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded to appear at Swansea Crown Court this Tuesday.
