A VAN driver has died following a crash at Pinvin, near Pershore, yesterday evening.

The incident occurred on the B4082, at around 5.20pm. An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle, a paramedic officer and the Trusts MERIT team attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a lorry and a van that had been in a serious collision. The van was on the road with extensive damage and the lorry was on its side in a ditch.

“The man driving the van had suffered multiple serious injuries, and unfortunately, it quickly became apparent that nothing could be done to save him, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

“The lorry driver had managed to release himself from his vehicle that was in the ditch before the emergency services arrived. He was checked over at the scene but declined further treatment.”
