PARALYMPIC star Sascha Kindred was a hit when he visited Castlemorton Primary School to meet the pupils.

Swimmer Sasha, who has won 12 gold medals across five Paralympic Games, came to the school at the invitation of teacher and parent Scott Tranmer.

Mr Tranmer’s son Ned, a pupil at the school, has the same condition at Sascha, a form of cerebral palsy called hemiplegia.

Mr Tranmer said: “Sascha was really inspirational, and after he talked to the children, they got the message that regardless of your disability, you can be a success.”

Pupils in Ned’s class recently raised £73 for the hemiplegia charity, Hemihelp, by holding a cake sale.
