A RURAL road just outside Malvern has been flooded for weeks, say residents who want something to be done.
The water, on Lower Howsell Road which runs from Malvern Link to Leigh Sinton, has been there for at least six weeks, says Edward Sanders, who lives near the flooded section of road.
“I have rung the council, but so far nothing has been done about it,” he said. “I’ve lived here for 40 years and it’s never been like this before. The drains are blocked so the water just doesn’t drain away – even when it’s not been raining.”
Paul Tuthill, a Link ward member for Malvern Hills District Council, who also lives in Lower Howsell Road, said: “The flooding is on one of the narrowest and twistiest parts of the road, so drivers who don’t know the road come across it unexpectedly.
“If nothing is done, I think they’d have to put up notices advising people that there's a ford ahead.”
A county council spokesman said it was investigating.
