THE first thing to mention this week is the St James' Church Concert given by Chris Garrick and John Etheridge. They interpret jazz, folk, world and rock music by composers as diverse as Duke Ellington and Paul McCartney (a Shindig Event bringing professional artistes to rural venues) This takes place on April 26 (tomorrow night) at 7.30pm. Tickets are now available from me in the Post Office (going fast!) or from David Richardson (see below for phone number)
Future events at the Church include:- Friday, May 16 sees the well-known Gloucestershire folk singer, Johnny Coppin appearing with Keith Burgess.
Saturday, September 13 sees the welcome return of the 40 strong Tredegar Male Voice Choir. Further information and tickets from David Richardson on 01684 592088
St James Church now has Candles of Remembrance, which can be lit and placed in the Lady Chapel by anyone who wishes to commemorate a loved one. Just call in anytime when the church is open - you'll find the candles and cards in the Lady Chapel.
