Claire joined West Mercia in 2007 after working for Sussex Police from 2004 - 2007. During her time with West Mercia, she has been part of the Safer Neighbourhood Teams in the Hagley area patrolling Hagley, Belbroughton, Romsley and the Clent Hills. She then patrolled Leominster Rural before tranferring to Malvern, initially on the Chase & Priory ward and now Upton SNT. Claire has gained lots of experience from this role dealing with lots of different things from road traffic collisions, fallen trees, livestock on main roads, disputes, traffic control, fights usually alcohol fuelled to all sorts of different events and protests. As well as meeting with other organisations to help lots of different communities, Claire is also First Aid trained. She also holds community surgeries in either community halls, scout huts, where ever the public go the most also the library is a good one. These surgeries are for anybody who feels they need to talk to us about personal or community issues which are police related, if the subject is not police related we can then hopefully advise people where to get the help they need with all the relevant contact details.
- Police Community Support Officer Lisa FREEMAN
My employment started with West Mercia in January 2004 as a an admin clerk in personnel at Hindlip Head quarters. In October 2004 I became a PCSO and joined the Safer Neighbourhood Teams at Malvern. I have worked most of the wards in Malvern including Pickersleigh, Link & Dyson, & Priory & Chase. I have received two commendations, my first one in 2010 for preventing a young woman from jumping from the railway bridge in Malvern Link and more recently for my commitment to a new scheme called Facewatch which is an online crime recording system designed for use by retail outlets in the capture of shoplifters. In April 2016 I moved to Upton-Upon-Severn where I hope my previous experience will be invaluable to the community.
