Old Herbaceous at The Coach House Theatre

OLD Herbaceous is a gentle one-man show at The Coach House Theatre in Grange Road, Malvern, this weekend.

There are performances this evening, Friday, February 11, and tomorrow, Saturday, February 12.

Set in the early part of the last century Old Herbaceous traces the relationship between head gardener Herbert Pinnegar and his employer Mrs Charteris, a relationship that was to last 60 years as he tended the garden of her country manor in Gloucestershire.

As Bert potters around his plant pots and tools he tells the tales of his life and even offers gardening tips and cookery suggestions as he draws the audience into his world.

The play is by Reginald Arkell and the role of Bert is played by Dave Danson. The play starts at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10. Call 01684 892277.
