GREEK myth 'without the boring bits" is coming to The Cube in Malvern.

And the date will be April Fool's Day, and that's no joke.

A spokesman said: "The outrageously talented David Mynne, of Rabbit Theatre, is coming back to Malvern to enthral another audience with his new show, ‘The Odyssey’, which is very loosely based on the Greek version.

"Anyone who saw his ‘Dracula’ last year will be first in the queue for tickets."

The spokesman added: "This year David brings Homer's epic poem to life, goes to hell and back in the company of heroes, gods and monsters.

"He offers a host of exciting and daft characters - including a one-eyed cyclops and a six-headed monster; and the terrifying sea god Poseidon, conjures up a mighty storm."

The spokesman added: "With great skill, outstanding comic timing, brilliant self-made sound effects and a handful of home-made props, Mynne plays them all. It’s Greek stuff with all the good bits with the boring stuff removed."

David Mynne is the sole performer with Rabbit Theatre.

Born in 1949 with a big smile, he looked like Charlie Drake.

The spokesman added: "He went to school, grew older and nothing much happened. Then the 80s arrived, Kneehigh Theatre started and David was there from the beginning, working with the company as a performer, maker and graphic designer for over 30 odd years. In 2012 he created his first solo show and so Rabbit Theatre was born."

The date for the diary is Saturday, April 1, from 7.30pm.

Tickets on, 01684 572072.
