AN Ayckbourn double bill is coming to Malvern Theatres, courtesy of the Dick & Lottie company.

On the bill will be the bleak fantasy comedy, "Woman in Mind" and the family play, Invisible Friends."

A spokesman said: "The Huddersfield-based company Dick & Lottie return to the Malvern stage with these classic Ayckbourn comedies.

"One cast will perform both plays which are thematically connected and explore just what happens when a fantasy family take the place of a real one. Both plays have serious warnings - be careful what you wish for."

The company known as Dick & Lottie was formed by John Cotgrave and Richard McArtney in 2004 to perform the works of Alan Ayckbourn.

All their productions are premiered at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield.

The spokesman added: "Over the last 12 years John and Richard have established a company of professional and amateur actors who have performed, on average, three Ayckbourn plays each year. They have developed a wide audience base and attract full capacity at each production."

The spokesman added: "Dick & Lottie are committed to taking their work to new audiences outside of Huddersfield and are looking forward to performing at The Coach House.

Tickets for “Woman in Mind” and “Invisible Friends”, both to be performed on Saturday October 15, are available from Malvern Theatres on 01684 892277.
