A SHOWCASE of the "queer spoken word" will come to the Artrix in Bromsgrove.

The show, called Queer'Say, will both entertain and challenge a local audience on Friday October 7, at 7.30 pm.

A spokesman said: "The event, which will be recorded for Resonance FM’s award winning LGBT magazine show, will be presented in partnership with Apples and Snakes, England’s leading organisation for performance poetry and spoken word.

"Award-winning comedian and Radio 4 presenter Rosie Wilby will interview Birmingham Poet Laureate finalist, Jasmine Gardosi and slam-winning poet and activist, A J McKenna about their lives and inspiration, following their performances."
