HEREFORD College of Arts students at both city campuses are currently putting together the finishing touches to their work, ahead of one of the most important events in the college calendar.

The Summer Show provides an important platform for students "and is a time of celebration and fresh opportunity and adventure, as they prepare to move on".

A spokesman said: "Some will be continuing their creative education, starting new courses at Hereford College of Arts or at universities and colleges across the UK.

"Many will be going to work within the creative industries, starting businesses or entering the many other forms of employment that benefit from the valuable skills developed through creative education. Families, friends, alumni, prospective students, employers, art lovers, galleries and buyers will be among the many visitors we expect."

Last year the Summer Show attracted over 5,000 visitors and organisers are anticipating even greater numbers this year.

The spokesman added: "The Summer Show will be spread across two venues: our Folly Lane campus will showcase the work of our further education students and our College Road campus will profile the work of students finishing on our undergraduate courses.

"For the first time this year we will also be showing work from our new MA postgraduate programme."

As a dedicated arts college with a specialist focus on the arts the college offers eleven undergraduate degrees alongside a range of pre-degree courses for students from sixteen upwards.

The show opens on Saturday June 11 and concludes the following week on Saturday June 18 June.

Opening hours are Saturday/Sunday: 12-5pm and weekdays: 11am – 7pm. There is no entrance fee.
