YOUNG dancers can audition to join a youth dance company which has a reputation for excellence.
Dancefest's W'ire Youth Dance Company are looking for children in year seven and adults up to to 21 years old to join the company.
It will be holding auditions on Thursday, June 25 from 7pm to 8pm in the Dance Studio at Bishop Perowne CE Performing Arts College.
W’ire (Worcestershire) Youth Dance Company has been running since 2003 and has earned a reputation for excellence, performing regularly at local and regional venues such as Symphony Hall in Birmingham and at MY Dance Festival at Nottingham Playhouse.
Members of the company have benefited from working with professional dance artists and companies visiting the area.
Being part of W’ire is a great opportunity for young dancers, especially for anyone thinking of a career in dance. Previous members of W’ire have gone on to train at dance schools such as Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and are now performing professionally in dance companies across the UK.
W’ire dancer Shelley Eva Haden is currently touring with Rosie Kay Dance Company performing 5 Soldiers.
The audition is free and successful dancers will have to pay £70 a term to join the company.
