Celebrate the season

CELEBRATE The Season is a musical variety evening which takes place each year at Malvern Theatre.

The Christmas variety show runs from November 28-December 2 and is now in its 29th year of raising money for local charities.

Performed by the Midlands Musical Theatre Group, it guarantees to get audiences in the Christmas party mood with songs like The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and What A Swell Party.

The show will then whisk the audience around the world with songs from Broadway, a Caribbean Christmas and a journey through a Russian Winter Wonderland. The seasonal songs, dance routines and comedy will all have a Christmas flavour and there will be elements of traditional pantomime.

Young dancers from the Harlequin Stage School in Perdiswell, Worcester, will be taking part along with singers, a professional band and comedian Barry North.

Over the years, MMTG has raised more than £120,000 for charity through its concerts and this year the nominated charities include Worcestershire All Stars Disability Football Club, Parents Experiencing Adult Loss and Special Olympics (Worcester).

Tickets prices vary but range from £11 on the opening night of Tuesday, November 28 to £13.50 for the Saturday evening performance on December 2. They are available on 01684 892277.
