THE Severn Sounds Festival team say they are “absolutely delighted” to be working in partnership with Mello Festival.

They will join them at this year’s festival to run a ‘Severn Sounds Bandstand’ which will host a talent of young musicians from Worcestershire county schools and colleges.

This will give young people a platform to play in front of fellow musicians and a big crowd.

Organiser Dianne Howland comments : “We’ve had a great response so far and have over thirteen acts playing so far on the bandstand.”

The talent showcase will take place during the Mello family festival weekend, which this year is situated at Severn End, Hanley Castle, Worcestershire, from Friday May 25 to Sunday May 27.

Dianne said: “This is a great opportunity for young people to showcase their music and enable them to perform in front of a live audience, gain performance experience, work alongside professional musicians and participate in and enjoy a family festival in the heart of Worcestershire.”
