More than 50 years on and a packed auditorium danced and sang their hearts out on the opening night of Let It Be which is unashamedly A Celebration of the Music of The Beatles.

There is no story line as such and it is not a musical in the true sense it is the recreation of the music written and sung by four young guys from Liverpool who as we all now know achieved global superstardom.

What is great about this production is whilst the boys are not 'Paul, George, John or Ringo' who during their fame could scarcely be heard due to the screaming fans we enjoyed a musical feast of around 40 numbers superbly recreated that could be truly enjoyed. It's a given that at every opportunity the house was in full voice and on their feet.

Let It Be opened in The Cavern where it all began, there were a number of set and costume changes as well as subtle makeovers for the boys as we progressed on the journey through the 60's. Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club section being one of the most colourful and fun.

After the interval there was a superb acoustic segment with each of the band members joining Paul on stage one by one - a show highlight.

With such a huge back catalogue of songs to choose from it is possible that maybe a song you wanted to hear is not included, however you will not be disappointed - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds was my favourite.

Tonight's band were Emanuele Angeletti (Paul), Paul Mannion (George), Reuven Gershon (John) and Luke Roberts (Ringo) all supremely talented musicians.

A fabulous night of memories which only seemed like Yesterday!
