POP pickers will be Staying Out for the Summer next weekend thanks to the appearance of cult heroes Dodgy in the Faithful City.

The original trio of Nigel Clark, Mathew Priest and Andy Miller got back together in 2008 and have wasted no time cementing their reputation as live favourites which can be experienced at the Worcester Arts Workshop.

Perhaps best known and much loved for their biggest hit Good Enough, which shot to number four in the charts in 1996, they tread the boards of the Sansome Street venue on Saturday, June 16, from 8pm.

Led by local favourite Clark, who now lives in Pershore, on vocals and bass, the catchy group is driven on by the drums of Priest and guitar work from Miller.

The release of Stand Upright in a Cool Place in February was their first long-player in more than a decade and has received rave reviews.

True to form they have a busy summer of gigging ahead of them, with festival slots already confirmed for Camp Bestival, Kendal Calling and V Festival among others.

Support comes from Worcester’s indie/new wave types Skewwhiff, whose influences centre on Talking Heads, Pixies, the Fall and Dreadzone and help form a sound the four-piece playfully labels as agricultural cidercore.

Tickets are £8 in advance. Go to
