THINGS are on the up and up for The Roving Crows after they received international recognition ahead of the launch of their second album.
The Ledbury-based act, who have an original Celtic vibe, scooped two top honours at the Irish Music Awards held in Missouri, USA, on Saturday, January 28.
They were named as the top Celtic rock band, while Caitlin Barrett was revealed as the top fiddle player.
On top of this they have been busy recording their second album at Rockfield Studios, in Monmouth, Wales, with producer Nick Brine, who has worked with the likes of The Darkness, Oasis and Bruce Springsteen.
In honour of the band’s roots, it will be launched on Saturday, March 1 – St Patrick’s Day – from 7.30pm at Gloucester Guildhall during the Paddy’s Day Extravaganza show.
