ONE of opera’s most colourful characters comes to the stage at The Courtyard in Hereford on Wednesday (October 6) when Mid Wales Opera brings Verdi’s ‘Falstaff’ to life.
The popular opera, based loosely on the play The Merry Wives of Windsor, centres on the titular Falstaff, a very fat, very funny, boisterous old knight.
The opera will be sung in English and accompanied by Mid Wales Chamber Orchestra. With a few surprises in store and Verdi’s vibrant music, Falstaff is certain to make for an enjoyable evening of entertainment.
The show starts at 7.30pm and tickets are priced £17-20, with concessions available. For more information or to book call 01432 340555 or visit courtyard.org.uk.
