COACHES have been laid on to allow Malvern music lovers to see the ESO Chamber Orchestra's Seasons II concert in Gloucester Cathedral next Friday (October 5).
The concert, a collaboration with students from the Gloucester Academy of Music, features Michael Bochmann as both director and violin soloist, Paul Arden Taylor on oboe, George Ewart on violin and Peter Adams on cello.
The programme includes Autumn from Vivaldi's Four Seasons as a follow-up to Spring and Summer, performed in a concert in the Cathedral in June. Music by Mozart, Albinoni, Fauré, Elgar and Bartok, amongst others, are also on the programme.
"This is an exciting opportunity for the students to play with the ESO Chamber Orchestra, but also for the musicians to play with these talented students," said Michael Bochmann.
Ticket prices are £6, £16, £22 and £24, with 50 per cent discount for students and 15 per cent discount for ESO Friends. To book, contact the ESO box office 01386 791044 or Gloucester TIC on 01452 396572.
The coaches, operated by Malvernian Tours, will depart from the Priory Road car park at 6pm, returning at 9.40pm. Please reserve your seat (£5) when booking tickets.
