IF you've never heard of Scottish power folk, then your luck is about to change.
The Scottish Traditional Music Live Act of the Year 2016, Skerryvore, have a date at Worcester's Huntingdon Hall.
Band members, say they are eager to bring their unique sound to new audiences.
Skerryvore first formed on the tiny lsle of Tiree off Scotland’s West Coast in 2005.
Since then, the lads have released five studio albums, with an additional ‘deluxe’ version of one including some live tracks.
Now based in and around Glasgow, Scotland, Skerryvore tour throughout Scotland, in Europe, and in the USA, the Middle East, and in China.
Deeply rooted in the ‘West Coast Ceilidh’ of their roots, influences from jazz, rock, Americana, pop and Cajun also emerge, while the traditional Celtic roots and instrumentation remain.
