Powick play a success

City Kids, Powick Village Hall Those residents of Powick who were fortunate enough to have obtained tickets (which resembled war-time ration books) witnessed an unusual and highly accomplished performance on May 9 and 10 at the Parish Hall, when City Kids, a musical play by Tom Wells, was preceded by an entertainment arranged by Stephen and Pamela Watkins.

Birmingham Royal Ballet's visit to Cheltenham this week was a real coup for the Everyman theatre, and a delight for all who managed to see it.

Hello Dolly receives a mixed reaction

Hello, Dolly!, at Malvern Theatres until tomorrow, was a loud, lively and colourful production, packed with songs and slick dance routines and a smiling cast who looked like they were having fun.

Uncle Vanya is a powerful production

HAVING never read Chekhov or seen any of his plays performed I went with an open mind to the English Touring Theatre's production of Uncle Vanya at Malvern Theatres.
