THE multi award-winning film The White Ribbon is being screened at Ledbury’s Market Theatre tonight, Friday. September 10, the first of four films that make up Ledbury Film Club’s autumn season.
The film, which won a Golden Globe and the Palme d’Or, is set in a small protestant village in Northern Germany during 1913, the year before the outbreak of the First World War.
Ledbury Film Club membership costs £10 for four films and non members are charged £4 per film. The other films this season are the classic Hitchcock thriller Vertigo, a British film by Mike Leigh, Career Girls, and Carlos Saura’s tragi-comic musical Carmen.
