Glass exhibition

SUNDAY, July 5, sees Bob Crooks, last year’s winner of the prestigious Glass Sellers Art and Craft Award, present a solo exhibition of his most impressive work in the Cowdy Gallery in Newent.

Crooks, an internationally-recognised glassblower, began his training over two decades ago at West Surrey College of Art and Design, which included a year out working alongside Ronnie Wilkinson at the Glasshouse Studio, Covent Garden.

Having established his first studio in Newent in 1990, Bob has opened new studios in London and the West Country, which he uses as viewing points for his manipulation of hot glass that exhibits his unique style of colour and technical know-how.

Cowdy Gallery’s exhibition lasts until August 8. Opening times are 10am - 5pm on Tuesday through to Friday, with Saturdays being limited to 10am - 1pm. Crooks is hosting the grand opening on Sunday from 11am - 4pm.
