TWO experts in the voluntary sector have set up a new consultancy and support service in Worcester.
Sally Ellison, previously chief officer at Worcester Volunteer Centre, and Hedley Burton, former transport co-ordinator for Worcester Wheels at WVC, have joined forces to create Closefield Consultancy, which provides a range of support services for smaller voluntary and community groups. Their aim is to provide every organisation with high quality support, to enable it to grow, develop and become sustainable.
Mrs Ellison said: "‘Many people have told us that we should use our many years’ experience of working in the sector, to support other organisations, so that is why we have established Closefield Consultancy. We are happy to talk to any local voluntary or community sector group / organisation in the county, about their needs and how we might be able to help and support them."
The consultancy operates from Norton Business Park and its services include volunteer recruitment, management, support, retention and training, funding advice, fund raising, project management, governance, trustee recruitment, financial management, policies and procedures, sustainability and community transport.
