SPECIAL project management courses are to be introduced by Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, with the addition of PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner to its training portfolio.

Suzi Boddy, training coordinator at Chamber Business Training, explained: "PRINCE2 is the best practice framework for project management and gives businesses the chance to gain an internationally recognised qualification. It is suitable for project managers, team leaders, project and quality assurance or project support staff who wish to gain the practitioner qualification in PRINCE2, or those wishing to gain a formal qualification after a couple of years of project management experience."

The course will teach how a business case underpins a project and how it should be regularly updated and assessed to gauge the continuing viability of the project. The course will be run in conjunction with Quanta Training, a nationally recognised training organisation based in Worcester, including all materials and both exams during the week.

Ms Boddy added: "I’m so pleased we are able to offer this qualification here at the Chamber. It’s one that most people would be pleased to add to their CV and one of the most sought after certifications of project management. I’m also delighted that we are able to offer it in conjunction with a local training provider with the esteem of Quanta training.”

The course will be available from September 2016. For more information and to book, visit www.hwchamber.co.uk/training/PRINCE2 or contact Suzi on 01905 673 603.
