A MASSIVE new bonded warehouse for the automotive industry is being built in Worcestershire.
AMCO Services International is developing the 120,000 square feet of high tech, customs-bonded space at Acanthus Park in Redditch. Due to be operational in November, it will cover a 10.7 acre site, with more than 25,000 pallet spaces, eight high bay dock levers, two floor access bays, 10,000 square feet of office space, 120 car parking spaces, a large trailer storage area and VNA racking. It will also feature some of the latest environmentally sensitive features, including LED passive lighting.
Barry Lumsden, AMCO’s business development manager, said: "This fantastic facility will be invaluable in supporting continued growth in the automotive sector. The UK’s vehicle manufacturers have performed remarkably over the past few years, and AMCO is proud to continue to play a part in that success. It will also be a fantastic resource for many other manufacturing sectors, including Aerospace.”
