WORCESTERSHIRE Ambassadors has sponsored its first apprentice.

The organisation that cheerleads for the county is supporting 19-years-old Hayley Giles, who has started work with graphic design agency Modus Creative in Worcester, as part of the UK Apprenticeship Programme GET IN. GO FAR.

Miss Giles will join the team at Modus in the agency’s main office in Foregate Street, where she will focus on building the digital and social media presence of Worcestershire Ambassadors and other Modus clients. Modus’ Creative director Guy Marson has recently become a member of the Ambassadors and Miss Giles will be fully trained as part of his Modus team.

Vince Hopkins, chairman of Worcestershire Ambassadors, said: "This is a double whammy for the Ambassadors, we are delighted to welcome Guy into the membership and excited the Modus team will be developing Hayley’s apprenticeship with us. Guy and his team already do significant work with young apprentices in the county. This is a really important element of the Worcestershire business community. To support and develop our local talent Modus has successfully trained and developed and given employment to several talented local students, of which Hayley is the latest.”

Mr Marson added: “The Ambassadors’ objective is to promote and enhance Worcestershire. This is a big part of my ethos, working with Worcestershire businesses both as clients, suppliers and partners. By developing apprentices, we believe we can help ultimately develop Worcestershire businesses and therefore the broader community.”
