A WORCESTER-based monthly media club run by communications consultancy Chris Green Media has chosen an organisation dedicated to providing support to distressed children and young people as its charity for 2016.

The Worcester Business Media Club will be backing Worcestershire-based charity Mentor Link through fund-raising events and visitor donations.

Mr Green said: "We have been greatly moved by the amazing work done by Mentor Link and the positive effect its dedicated volunteers have on young people in difficult situations.”

Mentor Link founder and chief executive Andrea Maddocks added: “Many thanks to Chris and Teresa Green for nominating the charity as it enables us to support more children and young people with one of our trained mentors. We welcome enquiries from schools, parents and community groups in Worcester.”

The next meeting of the Worcester Business Media Club, which focuses on media training, personal development and quality networking, will be held at Wild Wood Rooms, Wildwood Drive, on Friday, February 26 from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The theme, chosen by club members, is "How to create your own PR campaign launch pad".

Although it is free for visitors to attend the club, they will be asked to make a donation to Mentor Link. For more details and to book, call 01905 453908, email info@chrisgreenmedia.co.uk or visit www.chrisgreenmedia.com/worcester-business-media-club/
