TWO Worcestershire businesses have reached the finals of this year's VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.

Eckington Manor, near Pershore, has been shortlisted for the tastes of England award and the the Fleece Inn, the National Trust property at Bretforton, near Evesham, is among the finalists in the tourism pub of the year category.

The awards, now in their 25th year, recognise businesses that incorporate best practice and demonstrate excellence in customer service and the best in quality and innovation. In all 80 finalists were shortlisted in 16 categories, ranging from access for all to visitor information provider of the year and 2016’s debut dog friendly business of the year award.

The VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2016 winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool on Tuesday, March 8, held for the very first time this year during English Tourism Week. Judged by industry leaders, all finalists will receive a gold, silver, bronze or highly commended award.
