Enduro Europe 2008 RSS Feed


FELICITY Copp, of Cradley, is one of a team of three adventurers who are riding motorbikes more than 7,000 miles through Europe. Felicity is taking part in the Enduro Europe 2008 challenge, which aims to cover 26 countries in a month and raise money for charity as well. She is sharing the the adventure with her friends Mike Finlay, of Worcester, and Sarah Lonbay, of Evesham. The aim is to raise at least £5,000 each for UNICEF, the RNLI and Help the Aged. Starting today (Tuesday, August 19), the Malvern Gazette presents extracts from the trio's blog, charting the day-to-day adventures of their journey. Crossing the line

Riding into the Phoenix training ground this morning, I choked up again as Leigh and Tony greeted us with a big grin and handshake. The sun had come out for the occassion along with Helen of Castledown Radio who will be using some of today's interview over the coming weeks. (other press don't get out of bed on a sunday and so will be using our e-mailed words and our photos in articles, so an extra big well done to Helen for being more professional!) We spent the morning chatting with all of the Phoenix gang present, who feel more like our second families now, and drinking coffee until the time seemed right for the ride to be completed.

An update on progress, or lack of it

The story from Croatia to Albenga (beside Manaco) is rather uneventful compared to the excitement of the last 6 weeks or so. Rest assured that it will be uploaded in full and that we plan on producing a full, and very long, detailed account of the entire trip that will be available once complete in a few weeks time.

ESTONIA is beautiful and the people are friendly, as we've already mentioned previously. However, enough is enough and it is time to head for Latvia and onwards, if only we could leave Estonia!

Unfortunately, further to Mike's earlier blog, i am not writing this from Latvia but still Estonia; Fortunately my bike is now well and truly running!
