    IF the fete hasn't tired you out then journey if you will on Sunday afternoon to Birtsmorton Court, the home of Mr and Mrs Nigel Dawes. The gardens will be open from 2.30-5.30pm. Excellent home-made cakes and a good English cuppa. Entrance £3, children under 16 free. No dogs. Our beautiful parish church awaits and a guide of some of our history will be at hand. Let's hope the weather behaves and we have a lot of visitors. read more

    BOSBURY Cricket Club play their last home match of the season on Saturday. They stand a very real chance of being promoted in the league for the second successive year. The team would welcome your support at the ground behind the school or join them at The Bell afterwards. read more

  • Castle Frome

    COME along to our family quiz at Bishop's Frome Village Centre on Friday, September 14, at 7.30pm. Tables of three or more, £6 per person. Our quiz mistress is Yvonne Berry and there will be hot refreshments, bring your own drink and glasses. Lots of prizes to be won, don't miss the fun. read more

    THE Colwall and Ledbury Macmillan Cancer Support Group are holding a cake icing and decorating demonstration by The Cake Box. Sarah Thompson will be demonstrating decorating cakes for special occasions at Colwall Village Hall tonight (Friday), at 6.30pm. read more

    AT the close of their two day exhibition held over the Bank Holiday weekend at Berrow Village hall the Eldersfield Art Club were delighted with the results of their enterprise. read more

    THE weather looks promising for the outdoor barn dance being held tomorrow (Saturday) evening from 8-11.30pm. Held on the car park by Powick Parish Hall, the dance will feature ceilidh band The Poachers. Tickets are £7 adult, under 12s free. read more

  • Storridge

    PARISH Church: The church will be open between 10am and 6pm on Saturday, September 8. Come and visit us and see the east window, which was one of Frederick Preedy's first major commissions. He designed the church at the same time (1856). Storridge Church is one of the churches on the Preedy trail. The service for Sunday, September 9 will be Book of Common Prayer Matins - lay led. read more
