COME and enjoy a pleasant afternoon in the vicarage garden on the occasion of the annual Berrow Church fete on Saturday, July 14, at 2pm. All the usual stalls, cake, produce, plants, bottles and bar. All contributions to stalls will be much appreciated plus raffle prizes. read more

THE annual Castlemorton Common Association Shindig is on Saturday, July 14, at 2pm with children's gymkhana and races, clear round show jumping and dog show. Following the competitions at 8pm is a pig roast, bar with special beers, skittles, bale rolling and live music. Entry to the event is via Golden Valley Road. THE Cradley Singers returned to Leigh and Bransford Memorial Hall for their Summer Serenade last Friday, where they received a warm and appreciative welcome. As usual, their summer programme consisted of light and nostalgic songs interspersed with instrumental pieces and violin solos from the guest artist, violinist Arthur Bancroft. read more
LONGDON School is hoping to hold the children's sports day on Tuesday, July 17, at 2.30pm (weather permitting) and hope that as many parents as possible will be able to join them. read more
POWICK Parish Ramblers met at the Three Nuns, Colletts Green last Thursday for a walk towards Lodge Farm and Little Monksfield. In spite of heavy rain earlier in the week, the going was fairly good. read more
