  • Public brave forecasts

    A BRASS band which performed in Priory Park on Sunday has publicly thanked hardy Malvern people. Despite forecasts of heavy showers, many people turned out and enjoyed a warm dry afternoon listening to the Bell Inn Brass Band, from Cleobury Mortimer. The band played a mixture of traditional brass band fare and more contemporary music. The set included Elgar's Chanson de Matin and Land of Hope and Glory, to mark the composer's 150th anniversary. The concert was one of the Bands In The Park series organised by Malvern Town Council. This Sunday, the Band of the Gloucestershire Constabulary is performing at 2.30pm. read more
