    CASTLEMORTON Gardening Club will meet in the parish hall at 7.45pm on Thursday, July 19, for a talk on bats by Rebecca Collins, followed by a bat walk around the village. Bring a torch (and bat detector if you have one) and wear sensible footwear! Non-members welcome. read more

    THIRTY-four years of dedicated service to St James' Church, Staunton, was recognised at a presentation party held in The Barn at Gadfield Elm House, by kind permission of Canon and Mrs John Evans, on Thursday, July 5. read more

  • Suckley

    THE village hall at Suckley has an interesting history. It used to be a Working Men's Club and as such became the social hub of the village. In recent years, these sociable activities have lapsed a little and Thomas Talbot, the new chairman of the hall trust, is determined to revive this historic building as the focus for community events. read more

    Welland Fete took place last week and raised a tremendous £1,600. Organisers would like me to thank all those who helped on the day and especially to all those who came and supported them in their efforts. read more
