    THE traditional Christmas really came alive this week for residents of West Malvern who were lucky enough to be visited by the St James's Primary School carol singers, collecting for UNICEF. Braving the bitter weather, their sweet young voices, singing clearly and truly, made a refreshing contrast to the interminable and overpowering musack that assaults the ears in every shop at this time of year.     CONGRATULATIONS once again to the choir, organisers and congregation for the wonderful support last Saturday evening for carols round the Christmas tree at Eldersfield Church. Obviously, carols, mulled wine and mine pies proved successful ingredients. Over £500 was raised for the bells appeal. read more
