LAST Sunday a packed St James Church gathered for the farewell service to Carl Attwood who will retire due to ill health on February 29, 2008. Carl has served the community for the last 25 years and many people would like to make a contribution in a tangible way to Carl's retirement. If you would like to make a donation to Carl's retirement collection you can do so by either sending a cheque to Richard Beard at The Coach House, Burleigh, Old Church Road, Colwall WR13 6EZ or by giving cash or a cheque to Janet Sutton at John Goodwin Estate Agents in the village. THE first item to mention this week is - the Annual Friends of Welland carol singing Tour of the Village which commences from the Pheasant at 6:30pm on Wednesday, December 19 and culminates in a swift pint and mince-pie afterwards in the said public house! All will be welcome!! read more

OUTER Limits enjoyed their annual Christmas trip to Strikes, Malvern, for a game of bowling before returning to the Vicarage for a movie night using their new projector. They watched Santa Claus 3 and finished the evening off with delicious food and popcorn. read more
