ANIMAL protection campaigners raised £149 for Animal Defenders International at a street collection in Malvern on Saturday.

Members of Worcester Vegans and Veggies wore animal costumes and distributed leaflets as they collected for ADI, which campaigns in this country and abroad to protect animals from many different forms of cruelty and exploitation.

Ronald Lee of the group said: "We would like to thank the people of Malvern for their generosity.

"Helping ADI is very much part of the ethos of our group, which works for animal protection throughout the county, as well as promoting a humane lifestyle and diet free from animal products.
