HEALTHCARE workers have been praised for their work making sure patients got their care they needed during the recent floods.

At a meeting of the management board of Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust on Wednesday, March 12, trust chief executive Sarah Dugan praised the work of staff who battled through the flooding throughout February.

“I must say thank you to all our staff for how they coped with the floods,” she said.

“Worcestershire was one of the worst affected placed in the country and at one point we were down to using boats.

“But there was no disruption to services at all.”

Board chairman Chris Burdon echoed her words at the meeting at Worcester's County Hall.

Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust runs mental health and learning difficulties support, children’s services, care in the community and other non-acute services.
