A CHAMBER choir of experienced singers will bring some light to their concerts as the long nights finally shorten.

Malvern-based Severn Voice, who formed in 2011, present a double header of performances of a programme entitled From Darkness Into Light, which takes its inspiration from the time of year where winter finally gives way to warmth and light.

It will take the audience through the end of day rituals and into preparing for the night and then sleep before exploring dreams through pieces like Holst's Nunc Dimittis, Evening Prayer and Close Thine Eyes by Mary Plumstead and Da Pacem Domine by Arvo Pärt.

The hour of music for contemplation and reflection comes to the Chapel of the Beauchamp Community at St Leonard's, Newland, near Malvern, from 7.30pm on Sunday, March 16.

It then visits St George's Roman Catholic Church, Sansome Place, Worcester, on Sunday, March 23 from 8.15pm.

Tickets £10 (concessions £8).
