SHOPPERS and visitors are being encouraged back into Worcester city centre after the recent floods.

CrownGate Shopping Centre reopened their car park this week after water levels fell and is now offering people the chance to park for £1 all day until Tuesday, February 25.

Sara Matthews, CrownGate marketing manager, said: “We think this is a fantastic deal for people thinking of coming into Worcester, especially during part of the half-term week when families may be wondering what to do and where to go.

“It was unfortunate that we had to close the car park during the recent floods, and despite the fact that the businesses in the centre and the city remained open throughout, we are sure the car park re-opening and this fantastic deal to park for just £1 all day will encourage many people back into Worcester.”

After Tuesday, February 25, customers will be able to park for £1 all day on Sundays, bank holidays and after 5pm each day.

CrownGate has also extended its ‘Park From 84p per Hour’ offer, enabling shoppers to park for £2.50 for up to three hours and £3.50 for up to four hours.
